A key part of the work CMA Planning undertakes is advising clients on the planning issues at the site acquisition stage. For the Blondin Street project CMA advised Family Mosaic as part of their due diligence before they purchased the site. At the time of acquisition, the land owner was pursuing their own application for the proposals for this regeneration scheme, located off Fairfield Road in Bow.

CMA Planning undertook a detailed review of the proposals and planning position, reviewing the scheme, carrying our research in terms of the planning history, planning policy position and reporting to Family Mosaic. Specific advice was given in terms of likely outcomes, realistic number of habitable rooms that would secure permission, possible timescales and the possible scope of Section 106 clauses and costs. Planning Permission was granted by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in March 2008. The scheme has now been completed.
