This site represents the third around Homerton Station which the Directors of CMA Planning have secured approval for. The first scheme was the now completed 12 storey / 56 unit scheme at Sedgwick Street (top right photograph). Working for their previous firm, the Directors secured approval at appeal, following a public Inquiry in 2005 for Servite Houses (now Viridian) and Turnhold. Following on from this, CMA Planning then secured approval for the 14 storey / 97 unit scheme at Digby Road / Berger Road in 2009 for Network Housing / Turnhold. This scheme has also now been completed (bottom right photograph). This third site is located just to the west of these other two, and whilst being less tall (being slightly further from the station), still raised a range of issues. CMA worked with Taylor Wimpey and RMA to tackle points including affordable housing provision and viability, employment and residential balance, design, objections from neighbours and quality of the proposed residential units. Planning permission was then secured at Committee in June 2012, within the statutory 13 week period. It was completed in early 2015.
