This site is located just to the east of Lewisham town centre, and also backs onto the River Quaggy. It was formerly occupied by low grade commercial buildings. CMA Planning have secured permission for the redevelopment of this site to provide new commercial units, with flats above in buildings 4 to 5 storeys in height. The permission was achieved against a high number of local objections and a local petition and involved careful analysis and design to resolve its relationship in very close proximity to surrounding residential properties. Issues relating to flooding, ecology and the level of section 106 contributions were also addressed. The proposals split into two phases. CMA secured permission for phase one in May 2008, and approval for phase two in June 2010.
